A fun and engaging introduction to theatre!
Are you curious about acting? Do you love storytelling and playing different characters? Then join our 5-week introduction to theatre, specially designed for international children!

Why this course?
We see a growing need for English-language theatre opportunities for international families. While the International School offers some activities, there are few options outside of school. We want to change that! This course is a first step towards building a full-year theatre programme starting in September 2025.

What will you learn?
During this short but exciting course, we will explore:
🔹 Acting techniques – Learn the basics of stage presence and expression
🔹 Text work – How to bring a script to life
🔹 Voice training – Speak with confidence and clarity
🔹 Collaboration & trust – Work as a team and build confidence
🔹 Having fun! – Enjoy the creative process and explore your imagination

Final Open Lesson
At the end of the course, we will invite parents, family, and friends to an open lesson, where students will showcase short scenes. This is also the perfect opportunity for those interested in the full-year programme to get a taste of what’s to come!

Your Teacher: Jasper de Bruijn
Jasper is a non-native speaker who works extensively in English. He teaches acting courses in London, where some of his productions have been staged, and also performs there as a poet. In the Netherlands, he has years of experience teaching at Jeugdtheaterschool Utrecht and works with various professional training programmes. He has also been involved in the IB system through his collaboration with International School Hilversum.

Who can join?
The course is open to all, as long as they can communicate in English.
